More Winter Fun!

With such a long winter we had to be creative and find things to do. We had fun swimming, playing instruments, bundling up and going on walks and to the park, seeing the Christmas lights, visiting friends and family, going to IKEA, going to Disney on Ice with cousins (courtesy of Grandma) and being goofy at home . We had a lot of fun and loved having Kein and Megumi come along with us. We have had so much fun having them with us this year. Time is sure flying by, but it is fun to look back at all the fun things we have done.

Winter Fun

This winter we had fun playing in the snow. The kids loved helping us shovel the snow. Even baby Alea tried to help. Spencer mostly like rolling in the snow and coming up with new games. We also had fun going to the church gym once in a while to play soccer and other games as a family. It was nice to have a place to run around even when it was cold outside.

The sunset view from our house! Beautiful!!

We love Megumi

Megumi is a Japanese woman who is living with us this school year. She is so wonderful. We feel like she and her son Kein have become apart of our family and we do not want them to go home. Megumi loves to cook and makes really tasty Japanese cuisine. We are so lucky to have her cook for us a few times a week. The kids love to help her, especially Brinlee. We love Megumi!!

Spencer turns 5

On Jan 5 we celebrated Spencer's 5th birthday. He wanted to have a superhero squad party since that is his favorite thing these days. He even got some super squad PJs from grandma that he wouldn't take off for days. He had a party with his friends where they each chose to be a super hero and then they all tried to use their super powers to take out Budd. Budd was a good sport to let all the kids wrestle him. They had a great time. We love our little Spence. He is such a good boy. He is loving preschool this year and the teachers say he is such a good helper.

November-Thanksgiving

We had a really fun thanksgiving in St. George at my parents house. All of my brothers and their wives and kids came. It was the first time that all of us had been together in the same house for a really long time. All 20 of us under the same roof. It was really great and the kids loved being with their cousins. It was actually cold there but we did bundle up and do a little hiking and playing outside. Quinn, Katie, Jeffers, Mom, Dad, Garrett, Chris, Jay and Grandma

Update- October

Well, I have gotten really behind on our blog. We have been a little busy with Budd back to school full time and me working teaching art. We have had a lot happen over the past few months with the holidays and birthdays. So I will do my best to recap.

We had Alea's 1st birthday Oct 29th. We had a fun party for her. She loved the cake. She has such a sweet tooth. She started walking at 11 months and now she i running around. She loves exploring and she is into everything. I can't keep up with her (cleaning up her messes that is:) She is such a doll and great girl. She loves her blankie and carries it around with her. She brings us such joy with her sweet smile.

Budd and I went to a Murder Mystery Party for Halloween with some friends in our neighborhood. It was a lot of fun. There were over 40 people there. We dressed up and played the roles of Merlin the Magician and his wife Morganna. I made Budd a Merlin beard out of white yarn. We had a good time.

The kid loved Halloween and had fun carving pumpkins, dressing up and going trick or treating. We have a 10 yr old Japanese boy and his mother living with us this school year and they had fun joining in the festivities.
