4th of July

We had a fun 4th. Our neighborhood had a pancake breakfast/potluck and then we had our own parade. All the kids decorated their bikes and painted their faces. Then they road their bikes, 4 wheelers and scooters up and down the street. We had patriot music playing loud and we even had candy for them to throw. They loved it. It was even better than going to a parade since they were in it. What a fun idea!!

Faces of Alea

Alea is growing up and getting her own little personality. She loves to pull all kinds of faces. She is in the discovery mode and getting into things every minute which drives me crazy, but just once look at that face and I just have to smile. She is a sweetie.

Hair, teeth and hair in strange places

I finally decided to get my hair cut short! I wanted something that would be easy for the new school year since I will be teaching full time. I love it and it is so easy to do. It has been so much fun.
Before ....After... My hair has gone naturally curly since having kids, so I wanted a style that would work with my curls.

Brinlee lost 3 teeth in one week. She was pretty happy about it.. although she did not enjoy the process of pulling them out. Now she loves her toothless mouth and we think she is pretty cute too!! SOme of the guys in the nursing program with Budd decided to have a mustache growing contest. Budd had never grown a mustache before and frankly we were not sure he could, but as you can see below, he can... but after seeing how it looks on him, he is pretty sure he wont be doing that again. It was funny!!

Summer Fun

Our cousins from AZ were in Utah and we all went to Lagoon for the day. The kids had a blast with their cousins. Brinlee was big enough to go on all the roller coasters and she went on every one of them including "Wicked." She had a blast! What a fun day for everyone. We only wish we could have had more time with our cousins.

I had a reunion with my roommates from Snow College. It was so fun to see everyone and their familes and to catch up. We rented bounce housed for the kids to play on and it kept them well entertained.

Spencer and his friend Scout. Watch out, Here comes trouble!
Biking on the Kaysville trail!
We celebrated Budds 32nd Bday! His birthday was on fathers day this year so he got extra special treatment all day!

15 months

Budd started his first day of his 15 month journey in the accelerated nursing program at the U of U today. We are starting the 15 month count down. I am going to try to post once a month to celebrate one month closer to his completion. 15 months will fly by right? We sure hope so and we are excited.

More Winter Fun!

With such a long winter we had to be creative and find things to do. We had fun swimming, playing instruments, bundling up and going on walks and to the park, seeing the Christmas lights, visiting friends and family, going to IKEA, going to Disney on Ice with cousins (courtesy of Grandma) and being goofy at home . We had a lot of fun and loved having Kein and Megumi come along with us. We have had so much fun having them with us this year. Time is sure flying by, but it is fun to look back at all the fun things we have done.

Being silly with blue plastic gloves on their heads
Highhhhhhhh YAAA!!

Alea loves Megumi!

Winter Fun

This winter we had fun playing in the snow. The kids loved helping us shovel the snow. Even baby Alea tried to help. Spencer mostly like rolling in the snow and coming up with new games. We also had fun going to the church gym once in a while to play soccer and other games as a family. It was nice to have a place to run around even when it was cold outside.

The sunset view from our house! Beautiful!!
