DIscovery Gateway Museam

My friend Allison invited the kids and I to come to the Discovery Gateway yesterday. The kids had such a blast playing with all the learning activities they have there. The especially enjoyed the Sesame Street exhibit they have right now that is all about the body. They had one part that showed the digestive system with a mouth eating, then the stomache digesting and then a machine pooping. It was hilarious and gross at the same time. Brinlee pulled a great face in front of the poo machine.

They also loved playing in the mini grocery store. What a fun day!! Thanks Allison!!

Brinlee's 4th Bday

Brinlee just turned 4. I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. As much as I love watching her grow up, I want her to stay little forever. She had a fun Tea Party with her friends. This was the first time she had a Birthday party where she invited friends, and she planned the whole thing. She invited 5 friends and they had little sandwiches, mini carrot stick with "dip dip"(ranch), crackers, and lemonade that they drank out of little plastic tea cups. The girls really liked it. They also painted and had cake and ice cream. I made her princess cake by putting a small doll in it and the skirt was the cake. Brinlee loved it. She is such a cute kid that is so happy about life. She brings so much joy into our family.

Disney on Ice

Brinlee's best little buddie Grace, took Brinlee to Disney on Ice for her Birthday. It was one month before her real Bday but it was the best present ever. She sat on the edge of her seat the whole time. Brinlee and Grace were dancing and waving at the Princesses. She loved it so much that she cried when it was over. Seriously, she broke down crying and saying "I want to see it again." It was pretty embarrassing to haul her out of the Energy Solutions arena with hundreds of other kids watching, wondering why she was screaming. But i guess at least some Moms understood. Even with the tantrum at the end, it was all worth it. She wont stop talking about it. Thanks to Grace and Mary. What an amazing B-Day present.

My newly remodeled website

My website for my Art school as just been totally revamped, and i have to say that it looks so Sweeeeeeeeeet! I would love to take the credit but I cannot, for that credit and all the applause goes completely to my friend Emilie. She is a whiz at this stuff, and actually at everything. If you want to check out something fun, see her blog. aherncentral.blogspot.com And on to my new site... it is www.discoveryartacademy.com You can also press on the cool blinky that Emilie made. It is in my sidebar. THANK YOU EMILIE!! You are amazing. I am so excited about my new site.

Wonder Woman Brinlee

Brinlee dressed up the other day and said she was a superhero. She was running around and pulling tough poses. It was so cute. She really loves to dress up in all kids of outfits. I love the gloves. They add a nice touch.

The Yard Update

We continue to work on the yard and here are the latest photos that i took. We have one side completely cleared out and looking amazing. Budd has been working so hard and fast. Wow. First i will show a pic of the side that is not done so you can see what the whole yard was like before clearing it. This will help you appreciate the 2nd pic a little more. Before After Click on the pic to see a close up

The grass is actually our neighbors.

Visitors

I haven't posted for a while and if you are asking why I will have to blame it on all the visitors we have had lately. Luckily these were the best kind of visitors we could have. FAMILY! and this was a real treat for us because we only see Budd's family a couple times a year. First of all we had Budd's parents in town over conference weekend. It was so fun to see them, and the kids loved being with Grandma and Grandpa Keeler. They especially enjoyed playing play dough with Grandpa.

We were able to spend a lot of time with them and visited more family. We met up with Budd's Dad's brother Dick, who everyone says Spencer looks like. I think he looks like Budd's Dad too. Here is a pic. Left to Right John (Budd's Dad) Budd holding Spencer and Dick. Tell me what you think. They definetly have the same face shape.

And here we are with Budd's parents. They are such wonderful people. It was a joy to spend a few days with them.

They day after Budd's parents left, we had Budd's sister Lucinda and her Husband Nate come to stay with us for 5 days. We had a lot of fun and even went skiing and boarding. But they took all the pics of that so i will have to post those later. But i do have to brag about Budd and his amazing ability to learn to snowboard on his first day. He actually got it by the end of his first run. And man did he look good on that board.
